Raffle Pro

How it works

Five steps from an empty page to a drawn winner. No technical skills, and nothing to install.

  1. 1. Build your page

    about 2 minutes

Give the raffle a title, describe the prize, and set your ticket prices. Bundles work best — most raffles run three tiers, like 1 for $10, 3 for $25, 10 for $75, and the middle one is what people actually pick.

    • Set an optional fundraising goal to show a progress bar
    • Set an optional closing time — the entry form comes down by itself
    • Confirm your state and licence details before the page can go live
  2. 2. Connect Stripe

    about 10 minutes, once

Stripe verifies who you are and where the money goes. This is the longest step and you only do it once — after that every raffle you run reuses it.

    • Ticket payments land in your Stripe account, never in ours
    • You are the merchant of record, so refunds and receipts are yours
    • Stripe takes 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction and bills you directly
  3. 3. Share the link

    the part that matters

Your page is a normal web address. Post it, email it, print it as a QR code on the flyer at the door. It is built to look right when it is pasted into Facebook, because that is where most of your entries will come from.

    • One-tap share buttons for Facebook and X on every raffle page
    • Works on any phone, tablet or computer
    • The running total updates live as people enter
  4. 4. Watch the entries land

    ongoing

Every purchase creates an entrant with sequentially numbered tickets. Your dashboard shows who entered, how many tickets they hold, how much you have raised, and what Stripe's fees are costing you.

    • Ticket numbers are issued under a database lock — no duplicates, ever
    • Nothing is lost if someone closes the tab mid-payment
    • Cash and in-person sales go into the same numbered pool
    • Buyers are emailed their numbers; you can export everyone to a spreadsheet
    • If you hit your entrant limit the page stays up and you can top up
  5. 5. Draw the winner

    one button

When you are ready, press Draw. The winner is picked from the paid pool with a cryptographically secure random source, and we permanently record the ticket, the time, and how many tickets were in the pot.

    • Draw as many prizes as you like — a ticket can only win once
    • The winner appears on the public page as a first name and initial
    • You see the full contact details on your dashboard
    • Drawing in person? Print every ticket as a stub to cut out and pull from a bucket

We are not in the flow of funds

This is worth being precise about, because most platforms in this space are not. Ticket payments go from the buyer directly into your organization's Stripe account. We never hold your fundraising, never take a percentage of it, and never charge per entrant. Our only revenue is the flat package price for the raffle itself.

It also matters legally. Raffle proceeds belong to the licensed organization running the raffle — so the licensed organization is the one that collects them. That keeps you in control and keeps us a software vendor.

Common questions

Anything else, just ask — we would rather answer it before you start.

Are there processing fees?

Stripe charges 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, billed to you by Stripe directly. That is the card processor's fee, not ours. We add nothing on top — no percentage, no per-entrant charge.

Where does the ticket money go?

Straight from the buyer into your own Stripe account. It never passes through a balance of ours, which is how we can honestly say we take none of it. You are the merchant of record, so refunds and receipts are yours to control too.

How long does setup take?

Building the page takes a couple of minutes. Connecting Stripe takes longer the first time, because Stripe has to verify who you are and where the money goes — budget ten minutes and have your organization's details to hand.

Can I sell tickets in person as well?

Yes. Key in a cash, check or card-reader sale from your dashboard and the buyer gets real ticket numbers from the same pool as online buyers — emailed to them if you add their address, and printable on the spot. One list, one draw, nothing tracked on paper.

How is the winner chosen?

Every paid ticket gets a sequential number. When you press Draw, the winner is picked from the paid pool using a cryptographically secure random source — not a seeded shuffle — and we record the ticket, the time, and how many tickets were in the pot at that moment. A ticket that has already won is excluded from later prizes, so one person cannot take two.

Can I draw more than one prize?

Yes. List each prize with its own photo and description, and they show on your page in order. Draw as many times as you have prizes; each draw is recorded separately with its own label and odds, and a ticket can only win once.

What do entrants get?

Their ticket numbers appear the moment they pay, and we email them the same numbers as their record of entry. Stripe sends a separate payment receipt. If they reply to our email, it goes to you, not to us.

Do I need a raffle licence?

Probably, and it depends entirely on your state. Raffles are regulated gambling in most of the US and a few states do not permit them at all. You hold the licence and you run the raffle; we provide the software. We ask you to confirm this before your page can go live, and we keep a dated record of what you confirmed.
